Blow

Blow

Blow is my favorite movie. This movie talk about a boy named George grows up in a struggling family. His father is trying to make a living for his family. His mother rely on her husband about living. Over the years, she reveals that he cannot make a living for them and the family goes bankrupt. George does not want the same thing happen to him, and his friend Tuna, in the 1960's, suggests that he deal marijuana. He is a big hit in California in the 1960's then he became a seller.
As the demand grows, they decide to start buying the drugs directly from Mexico with the help of a few minor Mexican drug lord. But two years later, George is caught in Chicago trying to import 660 pounds of marijuana and is sentenced to two years. After unsuccessfully trying to plead his innocence (by reciting the lyrics of Bob Dylan’s "It ain’t me babe” and insisting that he did no more than "cross an imaginary line with a bunch of plants"), George broadens his business.
Finally, the film ended by George in the jail for rest of his life. He wasn’t cared about him self rather than his family. He was trying hard to quit but with no hope for doing that because since you involve your self in drugs life you can never go out.

Burj khalifa

Burj khalifa “Khalifa Tower” is the most beautiful building in the world. It is located in UAE, Dubai. Also, It is the tallest tower, 2722 ft. It designed to be the centerpiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development that would include 30,000 homes, nine hotels, 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of parkland, at least 19 residential towers, the Dubai Mall, and the 12-hectare (30-acre) man-made Burj Khalifa Lake. Therefore, there is a dancer fountain out side of the tower and it’s amazing. It is work after each half hour and you see many people waiting for it. Last but not least, Burj Khalifa deserves a trip to see it.

Fashion as a Cultural Aspect

Fashion as a Cultural Aspect

Many people believe that fashion is an aspect of culture as well as art.I totally agree with them because fashion contain from many styles such as clothes, accessories and technology. In this essay , I will talk about how clothes are an aspect of culture. For example, Saudi Arabia has own style of clothes and that came from traditions and costumes since along time ago. Also, Chines have their own way to wear clothes even Indian .In addition all these styles represent their own cultures.Otherwise, if I want to compare our range of clothing in Saudi Arabia to the styles worn in the United States it is deferent in any way. for example we wear another type of clothes such as thobe , shemagh, ghotra , abaya, and hejab. Finally, every country has their own culture and fashion.

American Culture Class:My Heroes

Heroes are people who do not just have the power in their body, there are many heroes in our lives with out superpower .Through history ,their have been a lot of people who have reached beautiful goals . For example, when Oscar came to USA he want to learn the English language and get more information about American culture and he did then he want to go back home with a beautiful goal. Caliche, aspires to speak English as a native speakers and he still pursue his goal until he achieves it . Hasan's goal is to get a master's degree in physiotherapy and he stayed one year just to get the acceptance at the college and finally, he got it . Ultimately,to be a hero in your life do not necessary to be a super heroe ,the only thing that you need is to get enough determination which allows you to achieve your goal .

The American Culture Class : Superheroes

The American Culture Class : Superheroes

In American Culture Class we discussed the american idea of superheroes . There are many famous superheroes in American culture such as Batman,Superman ,Spiderman  ,,,etc . We read an except form the book 'superheroes and philosophy' by Jeph Loeb and Tom Morris . Many writers , artists , and other people who create the stories of  Superheroes believe that these characters embody our deepest hopes and fears. They feel that superheroes represent our highest ambitions and help us deal with our worst nightmares .Superheroes have powers and abilities far beyond ordinary human abilities . But most importantly ,every one of them pursues justice, helps people who cannot help themselves ,and fights evil with the force of good. They are extraordinarily powerful people who have both strengths and weaknesses .Plato , the Greek philosopher, believed that good is inherently attractive. But they have probably been around for so long and have continued to be so popular, in part because they speak to our hopes. When we confront adversity in our lives, we are often inclined to just give up and find an easier path. But superheroes show us that nothing worth doing is easy. Batman can keep us going even when the going is is very tough.
